Great stay. Well stocked and very clean. The manager had excellent communication with us. There area a ton of outside games and things to do in the garage and we caught fix right from the dock. The place is rustic, but very relaxing and charming! We will definitely be back!

We met my parents and grandparents up at this cabin for the week. With the guest space above the garage there is actually a lot of room. No doubt this is a place for people who want to spend the week outside. The view and yard are awesome! It is seriously the perfect Minnesota cabin. The only thing is they do not have AC. So you need to open the windows at night and enjoy summer weather.

I can honestly say this cabin was about perfect. There were literally piles of inside and outside toys. We cooked in the backyard kitchen and played a huge dice game! This is a seriously fun place for families. However, if you have little ones you have to watch them close inside and outside. The cabin has a loft and yard is great, but obviously right on the lake. The cabin reminded me of places we would stay in up here when I was growing up.

5 stars! If it were possible, 10 stars! The amenities this generational cabin allows for are top notch! My immediate and some extended family wanted a smaller lake to have a nice week away on rather than go to a bigger one and boy did we find a beautiful place of solace at the Eagles Nest. The lot is beautiful and huge and the main cabin has a large feel yet quaint. You can tell the love that went into the building of this cabin and how well it has been kept up by other generations; it was just lovely and rejuvenating for us all! If you are lucky enough to rent the Eagles Nest, utilize the many provided lawn games, make your breakfast on their black stone grill and we even ended up using their smoker our entire stay! Like I mentioned, the amenities are top notch! And everyone will enjoy the game room above the shed! From the hammocks to the great fishing to the silence and to the sounds of true nature: this is the place for you and your family! Thank you to the family of the Eagles Nest. Absolutely what me and my family needed! Huge yard, private lake, lots of fun!

This is a huge lot, well maintained, with so much lake shore: beautiful! Our 2-year-old granddaughter caught fish off the dock and we could paddle on our SUPs to catch some tranquil sunsets. We enjoyed the provided hammocks, Corn Hole game, yard toys and floating inner tubes for leisurely days. And the fire pit was grand for making lovely HoBo foil dinners and Smores! It is close to Garrison and Lake Mille Lacs where we launched our sailboat and the golf courses, as well as some nice restaurants, breweries and shopping in Crosby. And Mike, the manager, was extremely accessible and easy to reach when we had questions. We had a wonderful time!

There is a family willing to open up their grandfather’s cabin to you, in the hopes that you and your group will experience the same magic and memories that they have. Welcome to the Eagles Nest! This beautiful authentic log cabin has been fully equipped with everything you will need for your vacation! This property has so many features it’s hard to list them all!

The space

Note: This Authentic log cabin has fans, but does not have AC; however it has been designed to not need it and opening up the screen doors and windows creates a great cooling breeze. There are also fans provided.

There are two bedrooms downstairs. One has two full beds. The second has one. Both have smart TVs.

Upstairs there is a queen bed. There is a twin/twin bunk and another full sized bed.

In the guesthouse there is two futons.

Please Note:

We welcome groups but are not looking to have parties of any kind hosted at this property. This home is located in a neighborhood and the owners do have a noise meter installed to notify management in real time if the noise level is constant and at a decibel that will bother their neighbors.
